Sir Cliff Richard is not happy about this - his first hit "Move It" will be fifty years old in 2008 for example. I never thought I'd agree with Cliff but he has got a point. This law will mean that our classic pop music will become cheapened and future generations will not get the benefit of the original recordings, instead they will get the Busted or McFly megamix version.
